Hey, I’m Gwilen Grace, a visual artist from the Philippines.

My work centers around street/documentary and travel photography, capturing the beauty of life as it happens, through a unique lens—quite literally, as I only have vision in one eye. 👁️ I often joke that my camera is my 'other eye,' helping me see the world in full. I've been passionately doing photography since I was 16, and this journey has shaped my perspective, allowing me to notice subtle details that often go unseen. Merging storytelling with intentional composition, I work in both film and digital formats to capture images that resonate on a deeper, more emotional level. Having journeyed to places I once thought beyond my reach, I've immersed myself in cultures, arts, and ways of life that continuously inspire my work. Each frame is an invitation to experience these moments and see the world through my eyes, as I see it.

Off-camera, I’m a graphic designer who eats revisions for breakfast and juggles motion graphics and web development on the side.

“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, and mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”
